European Loc Pool (ELP) is successfully growing across Europe. After receiving homologation for EuroDual locomotives within its Balkan expansion project in late summer, most of the news has been coming from Germany. Here is an overview:
Stadler Euro9000 ELP locomotives
The pioneering order for this locomotive came from Rail Force One, which got more locomotives delivered in Q3 2023 from ELP, and its fleet now counts three locomotives. Rail Force One also placed an additional order with ELP.
The first two Euro9000 locomotives were also handed over to RTB Cargo. The operator expects two more locomotives to be delivered in the coming months.
Lokomotion is another operator that received its Euro9000 locomotive from ELP, with one more to come.
Ecco-rail, which plans to lease two Euro9000s, expects to get its locomotives soon.
Stadler EuroDual ELP locomotives
In the third quarter of 2023, Schweerbau, Nordic Rail Service, and Flex Bahndienstleistungen have all signed agreements with ELP to each get their second EuroDual locomotive.
This follows orders of BELog (third locomotive), HVLE (second locomotive), and Netzwerkbahn Sachsen (second locomotive), which were made earlier in summer 2023.
