Siemens Mobility and BDŽ
Siemens Mobility will add ten more Smartron locomotives to the BDŽ – Passenger Services (BDŽ-PS) fleet. The deal includes maintenance and training. These locomotives will complement 15 locomotives of the same type already in operation. The final Smartron of the last batch of 10 should arrive in Bulgaria in December 2025.
BDŽ-PS also recently signed a deal for the supply of spare parts and maintenance of the first 15 Smartrons.
Alstom and FSE and FNM
Alstom will deliver the first hydrogen trains for the Puglia region in Italy after Ferrovie del Sud Est (FSE) ordered two Coradia Streahm H hydrogen trains to replace currently used diesel units.
Two more hydrogen Coradia Streams will head to Ferrovie Nord Milano (FNM). They will complement the earlier order of six. The framework agreement allows the order of six more of these trains.
Alstom will include its local plants in the production – ones in Savigliano, Vado Ligure, Sesto San Giovanni, and Bologna.
Nexrail and Leonhard Weiss
The first out of 40 Vossloh Rolling Stock DE18 Stage V locomotives from Nexrail was handed over to the customer. Leonhard Weiss, railway construction logistics company, was the receiver. The remaining locomotives will be delivered to various customers in the coming months. After the summer, the manufacturer will deliver another 30 DE18 Stage V Smart Hybrid locomotives approved for BE/FR/LU.
Alpha Trains and RCL
Alpha Trains’ new customer, Rail Cargo Logistics – Germany, received two Alstom Traxx locomotives (186 605 and 632).
ELP and BELog
After BELinda and BELlatrix, European Loc Pool handed over its third Stadler EuroDual locomotive to BELog. Locomotive 159 260 received the name BELleza.
