On April 4, 2024, the first dedicated Helrom block train service for AUDI was launched, linking Regensburg, Germany, and Lébény, Hungary.
The service's launch underscores a shared commitment among the involved companies to innovate and prioritize sustainability within the logistics sector. By integrating Duvenbeck's environmentally friendly trucking solutions for the first and last mile of the transport chain, this new rail connection is anticipated to result in a significant reduction of carbon emissions, estimated at up to 11,500 tons annually.
The rapid transition from concept to operational status, achieved in less than a year, exemplifies the potential for efficient, economical, and timely establishment of intermodal rail services when innovative approaches, such as the Helrom Trailer Rail system, are employed.
