METRANS: Hamburg – Stuttgart
From 8th January 2024, METRANS is offering a new intra-German connection between the port of Hamburg and the Kornwestheim terminal on the outskirts of Stuttgart. This container service aims to strengthen the ties between the export-oriented regions surrounding Stuttgart, Mannheim, and Frankfurt am Main with Hamburg.
Captrain France: Le Havre – Clermond-Ferrand
For the next three years, Captrain France will run two trains in each direction per week between the port in Le Havre and Gerzat terminal in Clermond-Ferrand. This service is provided in collaboration with FORWARDIS, TotalEnergies and COMBIRAIL.
Stena Lines: Verona – Kiel – Gothenburg
From February 2024, Stena Line will start offering an intermodal connection of Italian Verona over the Alps all across Germany to Kiel by rail, to combine with ferry short sea shipping connection to Gothenburg.
Cargobeamer: 17x Domodossola – Kaldenkirchen per week
With the new year, Cargobeamer adjusted the semi-trailer to rail connection of German Kaldenkirchen to Italian Domodossola to 17-rotation-frequency between both terminals per week. Three trains depart daily on weekdays, while on Saturdays, two trains a day are depart in each direction.
Spedition Bode: 3 additional departures Malmö - Norrköping - Rosersberg
German Spedition Bode is strengthening the intra-Swedish connection between Malmö (CMP), Norrköping (NHS), and Rosersberg (Yilport), north of Stockholm, from 15th January 2024. This intermodal connection is internationally connected with German Lübeck (CTL), an active route since 2015.
