In the rapidly evolving world of railway infrastructure, VUZ stands at the forefront, pushing the boundaries of interoperability and safety assessments.

As a hub of innovation and expertise, VUZ offers comprehensive assessments across all subsystems of the railway system—including infrastructure, energy, track control, and security - throughout the design, implementation, and final testing phases. Its diligent approach, guided by Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs), ensures that nothing is left to chance when it comes to the safety and efficiency of rail travel.

VUZ's role as an Authorized Entity No. AO 258 and a Notified Body No. 1714 underlines its critical position in assessing structural subsystems for the European Union's rail system. This is grounded in Directive 2016/797 of the European Parliament and Council on the interoperability of the rail system within the EU. VUZ's highly qualified experts conduct assessments with a steady commitment to independence and impartiality, leveraging Commission Decision 2010/713/EU modules for conformity assessment procedures. This thoroughness extends to collaboration with partners to facilitate various testing and assessment types, showcasing VUZ's crucial role in advancing railway interoperability services.

Looking ahead, VUZ invites industry professionals and the public to delve into the future of railway infrastructure at their upcoming seminar in the Czech Republic. This third seminar, focused on the infrastructure subsystem, promises to unveil topics never discussed with the professional community. The event, held in Czech language, will cover a range of pressing issues, from new construction laws and project preparation updates by the Czech Railway Administration to innovations in railway platforms and accessibility, as well as changes in orientation and information systems.

Participants will gain insights into defining the scope of interoperability assessments, updates in TSI, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and the education of new railway professionals. The lecturers will be representatives of VUZ, Správa železnic (Czech railway infrastructure manager), SUDOP PRAGUE, the Technical University in Brno, or the Czech Technical University in Prague.
