The newly announced terminal will be situated just 100 kilometer south of the new Zduńska Wola Karsznice terminal.

PKP CARGO is expanding its network of logistics terminals with a new project, as a letter of intent was signed for the construction of a multimodal terminal in Radomsko.

The project aims to develop a terminal that integrates rail and road transport, relocating freight train and truck traffic from the center of Radomsko to its outskirts. This move is expected to alter the current transport dynamics within the city.

The decision to establish the terminal follows discussions about leveraging Radomsko's strategic location on the railway route from Warsaw to Katowice and its connections to Łódź and the A1 motorway. These connections are seen as advantageous for supporting intermodal transport, which involves the transfer of goods in containers and semi-trailers.

The city of Radomsko, along with PKP CARGO, will continue negotiations to finalize the terms of their cooperation by the end of October. These discussions will include plans for land use and steps to secure any necessary aid for the project.

This development is part of PKP CARGO's broader objective to utilize the logistics capabilities of Radomsko and surrounding areas, which are already equipped with extensive warehousing facilities and serve numerous logistics recipients.
