Greenbrier has finalised the delivery of 100 intermodal and 50 box wagons for UK ROSCO Porterbrook, which will now lease them to GB Railfreight (GBRf).
The new wagons from Greenbrier, leased by Porterbrook to GBRf, will increase rail freight capacity in the UK both in moving aggregates and containers.
For intermodal, one hundred FEA-G wagons were made. These twin wagons can each carry six 20ft TEUs.
For aggregates, JNA-X box wagons capable of carrying 101.6 tonnes were manufactured. They will be used for moving construction materials from the Peak District to Birmingham. Their delivery started in November 2022.
