On Satudray, 11th of May, a new intermodal rail service providing a direct link between Italy and Serbia begins.

This connection will enable cargo movement between the Interporto di Cervignano in Italy close to Trieste and the DPT Pancevo terminal near Belgrade, Serbia. This development is part of broader efforts to improve logistics efficiency in the region.

The service will initially operate with one round trip per week, potentially increasing to two roundtrips as demand grows. Each journey is estimated to take approximately 48 hours. The primary cargo types to be transported include P400 semi-trailers, swap bodies, and 45'/40' containers, highlighting the service's capacity to handle a range of unit sizes and types.

To streamline operations and assist shippers, several value-added services will be provided, such as first and last-mile services at both origin and destination, assistance with customs documentation (T1, T2), optional unit provisioning service, offering 45' HC Dry/Reefer containers and swap bodies with curtain sides.
