Five new, mostly intermodal lines were announced by start of May 2024.


LKW WALTER: Dresden – Duisburg

At the beginning of April 2024, LKW Walter announced a new Dresden to Duisburg connection. The tri-weekly departures enable better connectivity of east Germany, as well as nearby Czechia with Duisburg hub and the adjacent Benelux countries. Each train moves 38 trailers.

RTB Cargo Belgium: Hungary – Sas van Gent

On 22 April 2024, RTB Cargo Belgium welcomed its the first grain train from Hungary arriving in Sas van Gent for Cargill. RTB also covers the local shunting services in Ghent-area.

VTG: Germany – Ukraine

VTG started a new collaboration with Lion Logistics on using T3000 pocket wagons and r2L baskets for its operations. At the same time, a new connection of Germany and Ukraine was launched. Two round trips per week, tractioned by Captrain, connect Forst in Germany near the French border and Mostyska in Ukraine at the border with Poland, also using pocket wagons and r2L baskets.

PKP Cargo: Karsznice – Rotterdam

The new Zduńska Wola-Karsznice terminal of PKP Cargo will get two round trips per week of intermodal connection to Rotterdam. By using T3000E pocket wagons, the new connection will start in mid-May 2024.
