Tailwind Intermodal: Koper to Graz
Tailwind Intermodal, the new intermodal branch of Lidl, is now organizing regular container trains that carry goods from the naval Panda Express, loading them onto trains and transporting to Cargo Center Graz in Austria, before paletizing and further distribution to the stores across Eastern Europe.
VTG: Test of r2L between Rennes and Lille
VTG has successfully tested loading of the r2L basket on a combined transport line between Rennes and Lille. According to test, loading of non-craneable semitrailers by this technology only takes 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
VTG: New KroneXpress
Another deployment of r2L technology has been launched by VTG on a German line connecting KRONE Trailer workshop in Werlte and the Daimler workshop in Wörth am Rhein. On this train, departing twice a week in every direction, various new KRONE products are transported by rail - such as trailers, semi-trailers and swap bodies.
Freightliner Group: Merehead to Langley service
UK freight rail carrier Freightliner launched a new aggregates service connecting Merehead quarry with Langley in London, moving limestone to be used for concrete and other building materials. Freightliner is partnering with Aggregate Industries UK and Brett Aggregates for this service.
Hupac: More trains between Zeebrugge and north Italy
With more departures from Busto Arsizio ((now 6 roundtrips per week) and Novara (now 10 roundtrips per week), as well as with a new service from Piacenza (south of Milan) twice a week, Hupac is strengthening the connection to Belgian Zeebrugge, thus, also to the UK market.
