Bahndienstleistungen Sebastian Schlemmer GmbH recently celebrated its second anniversary since its foundation on 1 September. Founded in 2021 by Sebastian Schlemmer, the company initially started as a sole proprietorship with a focus on providing training and education services in the railway industry. They ran training programs for railway operations and service staff for their initial clients.
However, in February 2022, they suffered a setback when one of their clients became insolvent, resulting in unpaid invoices from previous months. This unexpected turn of events created uncertainty about the future. Despite these challenges, Sebastian Schlemmer persevered, largely thanks to an existing temporary employment permit. In May 2022, the company began to regain its footing, and in September of the same year, it welcomed its second instructor on board. The acquisition of a simulator based on ZuSi Pro 3 in July 2022 further improved the training offer.
On 1 January 2023, the company changed from a sole proprietorship to a limited liability company. On 1 September 2023, the company expanded its operations by opening its own training center in Stade. This new facility offers various training seminars and simulator-based courses.
Looking ahead, Bahndienstleistungen Sebastian Schlemmer GmbH plans to continue expanding its training and education services while exploring the development of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications for training purposes. The company also aims to revive its original vision of creating, reporting, and distributing training materials, similar to that of textbook publishing.
