The fleet of RTI-owned Vectrons will double in size.

In addition to the two locomotives operated since 2019, Railtrans International (RTI) has ordered two more Siemens Vectron locomotives, registered in Germany, differing from the previous delivery, as our Slovak partner website Railpage reports.

These new locomotives numbered 193.988 and 989, are of the A17 version (DE-AT-PL-CZ-SK-HU-RO-SI-HR), enhancing RTI's international operations to Slovenia and Croatia.

Besides its own Vectrons, RTI leases two other Vectrons from CZ Train and Lokotrain. RTI's modern locomotive fleet also includes two Alstom Traxx AC1 locomotives from Beacon Rail and an Alstom Traxx MS2 from Akiem, which is currently out of service due to an accident in Komárno.

RTI operates in Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany. Its sister company, Railtrans Wagon, manages and leases a large fleet of mainly tank wagons that operate across Europe.
