Kryukivsky Vagonobudnij Zavod (Kryukovsky Railway Car Building Works, KVBZ) can now produce intermodal wagons for Europe's standard-gauge (1,435 mm) railways. The company has produced two prototypes of Sggrss 80’ intermodal platform wagon, which have been tested in the EU.
The European Union Railway Agency (ERA) issued a confirmation of the fulfilment of all valid requirements, meaning that KVBZ can now expand to the EU market and compete with established wagon manufacturers for customers from the EU.
KVBZ can produce wagons for Ukrainian operators establishing their companies on the territory of the European Union. KVBZ’s intermodal wagons are approved for the entire EU railways network.
