ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 165 national standards bodies.

The BAV is the supervisory authority responsible for public transport in Switzerland (railways, cableways, ships, trams and buses). Large areas of freight transport also fall within the BAV’s remit.

As the European coordination platform, FTE promotes cross-border coordination amongst railway undertakings. The FTE makes an essential contribution to promoting interoperability of Europe.

Xrail is a production cooperation consisting of seven members, aiming to make European Single Wagonload a more competitive and more sustainable alternative to road transport.

SWISSRAIL Industry Association is the local and global association of the Swiss railway industry and the Swiss railway engineering companies. It incorporates more than one hundred members.

We are a multidisciplinary and versatile structure, consisting of operative divisions specialised in the various sectors of competence, able to offer global services in many industrial sectors.

We were founded on 1 July 2001 as RFI - Rete Ferroviaria Italiana SpA, in response to the need to separate the network manager from the provider of transport services. We are responsible for keeping the railway infrastructure in full working order, allowing over 9000 passenger trains and tons of freight to run on them every day in complete safety.
