Austrian rail freight carrier ecco-rail has leased five multisystem Siemens Vectron locomotives from a French leasing company, Akiem.
The first two locomotives were already delivered in April, and three more will follow in May and June 2023.
These Vectron locomotives, made by Siemens Mobility, are part of an order for 85 locomotives that Akiem placed in December 2021 and August 2022. Ecco-rail is the second customer of these locomotives after CER Cargo leased six of them.
