The handover took place in Sered, Slovakia, and involved a mix of newly built and previously used Sggrs(s) wagons.

Croatian freight operator ENNA Transport has begun operating intermodal container wagons supplied by GATX Rail Europe.

The wagons are intended for intermodal traffic across Croatia, Hungary, and Serbia. ENNA Transport is part of the ENNA Group and holds a share of over 20% in Croatia’s rail freight sector. Since September, the company has also been involved in container handling via the Rijeka Gateway terminal, a joint venture with shipping line Maersk.

The contract with GATX was finalised during the transport logistic trade fair in Munich earlier this year. The leasing deal is positioned to support ENNA’s ongoing expansion in rail container logistics in Southeast Europe.

GATX Rail Europe manages a fleet of more than 30,500 wagons across the continent, supplying operators with rolling stock for liquid, bulk, and intermodal transport. The recent delivery to ENNA Transport underlines the increasing demand for intermodal railcar leasing solutions in the region.
