The company is showcasing this development during live sessions in the outdoor area FM704A/3 throughout the first half of the week.

At the Transport Logistic 2025 fair in Munich, Ermewa will introduce a new demonstrator wagon designed for palletized goods.

New wagon concept for palletized cargo

Ermewa’s demonstrator features a remotely controlled, fully automated tarpaulin. This design intends to reduce loading and unloading times while limiting manual intervention. The tarpaulin system also incorporates anti-vandalism elements. Payload capacities are optimised, and the configuration aligns with projected demands for rail-based pallet transport in freight operations.

The demonstrator wagon is scheduled for public display with live presentations at 11:00 and 15:00 from Monday through Wednesday, and at 11:00 on Thursday. The unit is positioned directly in front of Ermewa’s main booth in the outdoor area.

Expanded portfolio at Transport Logistic

Alongside the palletised goods demonstrator, Ermewa is exhibiting additional freight railcars. These include the Rens wagon with a steel floor and short stanchions, the Sggmrss 90-foot intermodal railcar paired with tank containers provided by Eurotainer and Raffles (both part of the Streem group), and the Eamnos open-top railcar, available for viewing at the Greenbrier stand.

Across all segments, Ermewa presents a portfolio of 120 wagon types in use for a variety of freight categories: aggregates and worksites, automotive logistics, chemicals, grain, energy, intermodal units, palletised goods, and steel transport.

Founded in 1956, Ermewa manages a fleet of 50,000 freight wagons throughout Europe. The fleet serves both hazardous and non-hazardous liquid and gas transport as well as solid goods, including bulk and palletised cargo. The company operates through 18 offices in 14 European countries, employing over 260 staff.

Ermewa holds certification as an Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) and is part of the Streem group, which also includes Eurotainer and Raffles. The company reports EcoVadis certification for its CSR activities.
