AC/DC/MS: New electric locomotives in CARGOUNIT fleet

CARGOUNIT has expanded its locomotive fleet with three new additions, each catering to specific customer needs across different regions.

The latest acquisition in the alternating current (AC) category includes the Siemens Smartron 192.015, tailored for Tim Rail Cargo in Romania. This Smartron locomotive, known for its reliable performance in freight transport, is designed to meet the operational standards and needs of Romanian rail networks.

In the direct current (DC) category, the fleet for Polish customers now includes the Pesa Gama locomotive 111Ed-101. Pesa’s Gama series is suited for various freight tasks, aligning with current requirements for efficient, mid-range hauling in regions where DC power supply is prevalent.

Additionally, CARGOUNIT’s multi-system (MS) capabilities have been strengthened by the Siemens Vectron 6193.324. The Vectron MS, known for its cross-border operational capability, is an asset in markets with multiple current systems, supporting interoperability across several European countries.

Each locomotive acquisition aligns with CARGOUNIT’s approach to providing diverse power solutions tailored to regional demands and infrastructure specifics.
