Cargounit will get a total of 40 new Pesa Gama locomotives with the stronger last-mile diesel module by the end of 2024. That means more customers and bigger fleets with the existing ones. After Olavion or HSL Polska, another important customer is Ciech Cargo.
Ciech Cargo has expanded its locomotive fleet with the addition of the Gama 111 Ed-079, which is its fifth vehicle of this type. The locomotive, leased from CARGOUNIT, is part of Ciech Cargo's strategy to enhance the efficiency of its transport operations. The Gama 111 Ed-079 is specifically intended to support a new segment of gas transport that the company has recently begun operating successfully.
Cargounit has also filed a new customer of this locomotive type, delivered from PESA Bydgoszcz. The new 4-axle electric locomotive (111 Ed-078), equipped with a last-mile engine, was delivered to Pomorskie Przedsiębiorstwo Mechaniczno-Torowe (PPM-T), which is focusing on railway track construction, modernization, and related construction logistics services.
