The opening reflects Akiem’s ongoing efforts to provide tailored traction solutions and closer technical support for its Scandinavian customers amid rising operational demands.

Akiem has inaugurated a new maintenance facility in Borlänge, Sweden, expanding its service network in Scandinavia. The site, operated by Akiem Maintenance & Services (AMS), is the company’s third in the country, following Hallsberg and earlier sites, and is intended to strengthen support for operators across Sweden and Norway, as well as cross-border corridors to Germany and Denmark.

The workshop spans 600 square metres and includes office space and two maintenance pits. Equipped with lifting jacks and cranes, it is set up for both preventive and corrective maintenance, allowing for more complex tasks to be completed on-site.
