KfW IPEX-Bank finances EUROWAGON’s investment into 800 new intermodal wagons

The financing is structured as a Green Loan, and EUROWAGON will lease the intermodal wagons to its customers, mainly in Western Europe.

Based on a recent agreement, KfW IPEX-Bank will finance Polish wagons leasing company EUROWAGON to invest in new intermodal wagons. The leasing company intends to buy 800 new intermodal wagons, a segment that the company focuses on.

Thanks to EUROWAGON’s corresponding certification, the loan agreement was structured as a Green Loan. The company has committed to become carbon neutral by 2050.

EUROWAGON is a young company established in 2018 by consolidating several wagon pools. Its fleet consists of Sdggmrss pocket wagons, SGNS / SGS, Sggrs(s) 80‘, Sggmrss 90‘, and Sgnss 60´ flat wagons, as well as EAOS/ EAS and EAMNOS 57 open box wagons. Private equity CEE Equity Partners own a majority stake in EUROWAGON through China Central and Eastern Europe Investment Co-operation Fund II.
