The certificate will support freight flows between Poland, Germany, Ukraine and the Baltic states. LTG Cargo Polska already operates intermodal services on the Duisburg–Kaunas–Duisburg route and transports oil products between Poland and Germany.
In 2025, LTG Cargo Polska purchased pocket wagons for intermodal transport between Kaunas in Lithuania and Duisburg in Germany, using EU funding. The wagons form part of the company’s own standard-gauge fleet.
The German certificate follows LTG Cargo’s licensing activity in the Baltic region. In 2024, LTG Cargo obtained carrier licences in Latvia and Estonia, allowing freight to move from Lithuania to Estonia without locomotive changes.
LTG Cargo Polska employs 130 people. The company operates more than 350 standard-gauge wagons and 20 locomotives, including Siemens locomotives used on international routes.
