For CPKC, this is the third significant deal in intermodal recently.

Bison Transport has announced a partnership with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) focusing on intermodal transportation services along the north-south corridor connecting Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

This follows CPKS’s deals signed with Schneider Intermodal and Knight-Swift.

The collaboration will allow Bison Transport’s growing customer base to access cross-border multimodal solutions through CPKC’s rail network, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of freight services. The timing aligns with Bison's expanding operations in Mexico and the growth of nearshoring manufacturing in the region, offering new opportunities for cross-border business.

This partnership also aligns with both organizations' commitment to sustainable practices and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The collaboration is expected to generate synergies for customers, providing reliable capacity and leading service in intermodal freight transportation.

Winnipeg-based Bison Transport was founded in 1969 and has extensive operations across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. The company operates a fleet of 3,000 trucks and 10,000 trailers and containers.

This comes as a next step in the recent wave of strategic partnerships in intermodal services connecting Canada, the US, and Mexico:
