Four-year framework agreement represents significant market share in switch business in Denmark.

Vossloh recently concluded two framework agreements with the Danish state rail operator Banedanmark for the supply of switch systems and related spare parts with a term of four years and a total volume of around €40 million. Both contracts include options and can be extended twice by Banedanmark for a further two years.

"For years, Northern Europe has been an important market for us in the turnout systems business. In 2022 alone, we generated sales of around €130 million in the Northern European market. The order from Banedanmark significantly strengthens our position in the important Danish market. We look forward to a trusting, long-term and - not only geographically - close cooperation. Our strict customer orientation has once again proved its worth and played a decisive role in winning this order," says Jan Furnivall, COO of Vossloh AG.

In addition, Vossloh will set up a local production facility of some 3,000 square metres next to Banedanmark's concrete sleeper plant in Fredericia, Denmark. The local production facility will enable Vossloh to supply Banedanmark with rail infrastructure components very cost-effectively and with short lead times.
