The lease-purchase structure covers the multi-year construction period and subsequent long-term financing phase.

DAL Deutsche Anlagen Leasing and BayernLB are financing 13 Plasser CatenaryCrafter 15.4 E3 hybrid overhead line maintenance vehicles for Plasser Robel Services, to be deployed by DB InfraGO.

The vehicles will be used for maintenance and modernization of overhead lines on Germany’s rail network. DB InfraGO, which has bundled Deutsche Bahn’s infrastructure activities since 2024, will operate the machines as part of its machine pool.

The CatenaryCrafter 15.4 E3 is designed for overhead line works with an electric drive supplied via the catenary and onboard batteries. The battery capacity is dimensioned to cover a full work shift. A diesel-electric power pack is installed for additional operational flexibility, including battery charging and specific operating scenarios.

The machines are manufactured by Plasser & Theurer in Austria. Plasser Robel Services, which manages the life cycle of rail-bound machines and vehicles, is the contractual customer under the financing arrangement.
