It's just a few hours when Gottfried Eymer announced his new career on LinkedIn:
„After an intense and eventful time at Rail Cargo Group as Board Member for Sales and Marketing, I have decided to move on: I will change roles and scenery and become CEO of Etihad Rail Freight as of 1 February 2023," wrote new CEO and continued:
"I am deeply thankful for a fruitful time with my colleagues, my team, and my Co-Board members. We faced challenges, entered new territories, and discussed and moved a lot - also in the strictly literal sense."
57-year-old Gottfried Eymer has worked last 20 years not only at Austria's Rail Cargo Group but as well as at Deutsche Bahn. In his statement appreciated the time spent at his last work positions:
"I felt supported any time and profited from our culture of cooperation and considerate teamwork - the latter being true also for our Supervisory Board. I am leaving behind a strong, determined, and united company with teams to realize an innovative and sustainable strategy."
We will stay in touch, I am sure - also across continents," concluded his status.
Etihad Rail was established in June 2009 with the mandate to manage the development, construction and operation of the UAE’s national freight and passenger railway network.
