David Brown, Managing Director UK Trains at Arriva, has been appointed as Chair of the Rail Delivery Group (RDG). David has been a member of the RDG Board since 2020 and has extensive experience in the rail sector.
David Brown, Chair of RDG, said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to help lead the rail industry at such a crucial time. After unprecedented challenges in recent years, rail can have a very bright future by meeting the needs of customers and the communities we serve."
As Chairman, David Brown will be responsible for the leadership and effectiveness of the Board and the strategic direction of the organisation. He succeeds Steve Montgomery, Chief Executive of First Rail, who has stepped down as Chairman but remains a member of the RDG Board.
