The company exists since 1945 and is a manufacturer of rail tank cars, stationary and transportable pressure tanks, cylinders and road tankers with four plants located in Poland and France.

Railtur Wagon Industry Inc. was established in Kayseri in 2006 to manufacture and maintain railway wagons, Y25 Type freight wagon bogies, motor and trailer bogie frames for LRT Tram and passenger trains.

Since 2004 the company has carried out 15 projects for reconstruction and modernization of railway vehicles (more than 600 railcars, trams and wagons for passenger and freight transport).

TransAnt GmbH is a developer and manufacturer of innovative and efficient freight wagons. New capacities for the European market are created.

In June 2017, The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. and AstraRail Management GmbH merged and began operating under the name Greenbrier Europe. It covers Świdnica, Poland and AstraRail based in Arad, Romania.
