Mercitalia Logistics signed a memorandum of understanding with the Port System Authority of the Central-Northern Adriatic Sea (AdSP) to promote digital integration between their technological systems.
The agreement, signed by Mercitalia Logistics CEO Sabrina De Filippis and Ravenna Port Authority President Daniele Rossi, aims to improve the quality and efficiency of rail transport services through the Port of Ravenna. It also aims to improve the planning and management of operations.
"The protocols with the Port Authorities make it possible to speed up the modal change operations of goods, improving intermodality between rail and sea,“ said Sabrina De Filippis.
This agreement follows the one signed in February with the AdSP of the Eastern Ligurian Sea. It is part of the activities promised by the Italian government to create a national logistics platform, coordinated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport through RAM Logistica, Infrastrutture e Trasporti Spa.
