The partnership strengthens Akiem’s operational presence near the port of Marseille and key freight hubs in Miramas and Fos-sur-Mer.

Akiem Maintenance & Services France has signed a two-year framework agreement with Régie des Transports de Marseille Arles, expanding its external ECM4 network in southern France.

The agreement enables on-site accommodation for technicians, local storage of spare parts, and increased availability of level 1 maintenance slots for Akiem’s BB27000 Prima locomotive fleet. These measures are intended to support faster interventions and improved service continuity for both AMS and leasing customers.

The reinforced location also serves as an enhanced delivery point, allowing operators to access ready-to-use locomotives for services in southern France. The contract establishes a structured framework for long-term cooperation, focusing on operational reliability and controlled activity management.

Régie des Transports de Marseille Arles joins Akiem’s external ECM4 network as part of this agreement, extending the lessor’s maintenance footprint in a region with significant freight traffic linked to port operations.
