Akiem has signed a contract with Technis for the operational maintenance of seven Alstom BB 27000 locomotives in France.
Technis is part of Rail Logistics Europe (RLE). The contract formalises cooperation between the two companies, which had previously worked together under subcontracted maintenance arrangements.
The BB 27000 locomotives are used in freight operations. The first locomotives under the new contract left Lens on Tuesday, including no. 27067, which has entered commercial service.
The agreement builds on existing cooperation between Akiem and RLE subsidiaries Hexafret and Captrain France in the French freight market.
