The upgrade, backed by an investment of EUR 10m, increases the terminal area to 42,000 m² and adds two 550 m tracks.

The Navarre Intermodal Terminal (TIN) in Spanish Noáin has started operations at its expanded facilities following the completion of works in December 2025.

The project triples the previous footprint of the terminal and includes a larger yard for rail operations and container depot activities. Operations have been gradually transferred to the new site in recent weeks.

Hutchison Ports BEST, operator of the main container terminal at the Port of Barcelona, secured a 15-year concession from ADIF in September 2024 to manage TIN. The company committed to invest around EUR 10m, part of which has been co-financed through the EU’s NextGeneration funds.

As part of the upgrade, diesel reach stackers at the terminal are being replaced with fully electric units. The operator links the facility to the Port of Barcelona’s network of more than 200 ports, targeting exporters and importers in northern Spain and southern France.
