The project is part of the broader master plan to increase capacity on the Kenitra–Marrakech corridor, in preparation for Morocco’s future high-speed rail (HSR) network.

NGE Group has secured its first railway contract in Morocco, focusing on the extension and modernization of the conventional railway infrastructure between Casablanca’s Oasis district and Nouaceur.

The contract, awarded by Morocco’s national railway operator ONCF, covers Lot 3 of the line extension and involves a range of tasks, including track removal and installation (both ballast and concrete), catenary system installation, earthworks, platform construction, drainage, roadworks, and civil engineering.

The section of the project will connect five stations, including Casa Sud, Sidi Maarouf, Bouskoura (with an interconnection to the HSR line), Nouaceur, and Mohammed V International Airport Station, which also serves as an HSR hub.

The consortium handling the project consists of TSO (as the lead partner), TSO Caténaires, and NGE Maroc. The contract is valued at approximately EUR 100 million, with a project duration of 40 months.

NGE has been active in Morocco since 1990, initially focusing on road infrastructure before diversifying into public works and large-scale construction projects.

The Casablanca-Nouaceur railway upgrade aligns with Morocco's objectives to strengthen passenger transport capacity while preparing the existing network for integration with the high-speed rail system.
