Uz Cargo Poland completes first petroleum products delivery from Germany in own wagons

Company data shows that in the first half of 2025, imports of petroleum products to Ukraine rose by 5.4%.

Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) has transported petroleum products from Germany to Ukraine for the first time using its own Zacns tank wagons built for the European 1,435 mm gauge. The transport was managed within the European Union by UZ Cargo Poland.

According to the company, the shipment originated in Hamburg and was delivered to the Ukrainian border without the need for transshipment. UZ Cargo Poland already operates similar services from Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and Italy.
