These adjustments affect connections in Central and Southeastern Europe, including Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Belgium, and Germany.

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has added new services and increased existing round trips across its TransFER network.

Sopron–Arad now operational

RCG introduced a new TransFER route between Sopron (Hungary) and Arad (Romania). The service uses Sopron as a hub to consolidate individual wagons and groups into block trains, connecting to Arad, a logistics node near the Romanian Hungarian border. According to the operator, transit time is approximately 24 hours. The service also includes options for transshipment, warehouse handling, and local delivery arrangements.

Higher frequency for Genk–Curtici

The intermodal TransFER between Genk (Belgium) and Curtici (Romania) now runs six round trips per week. The route supports container traffic, swap bodies, trailers, and non-craneable semi-trailers. RCG states that transit time remains around 40 hours. The connection is structured for traffic between Western and Southeastern Europe through the Curtici terminal in western Romania.

Belgrade–Rijeka gains third weekly rotation

RCG has added a third weekly round trip to its TransFER Belgrade–Rijeka service. The route links the Nelt terminal near Belgrade with the Croatian port of Rijeka. Approximately 70% of Serbia’s freight flows through this seaport. The service includes traction by RCG and offers short transit times, stated to be up to 24 hours, along with pre- and on-carriage logistics options.
