Railpool has delivered the first of four Siemens Mobility Vectron locomotives to RheinCargo. The locomotive, numbered 193 106, was handed over at Railpool's KTG locomotive maintenance facility in Duisburg, Germany, and has already commenced operations.
Configured for cross-border services in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands (D-A-CH-NL), these locomotives will support RheinCargo’s freight operations along the Rhine corridor and into the Netherlands.
The livery of the locomotive 193 106 visually highlights the Rhine route and includes markings indicating locations relevant to both RheinCargo and Railpool along the river.
The next three locomotives are expected to follow in due course, reinforcing RheinCargo’s fleet and extending its international operational range.
