Delays in the second and third Stadler Eurodual locomotive delivery from Valencia were caused by storm Dana.

Rail Cargo Group (RCG) faced a delivery delay for two Eurodual locomotives due to flooding in Valencia at the end of October. This setback required operational adjustments to maintain uninterrupted services.

To address the situation, a temporary replacement was arranged through Baustoffe-Entsorgung-Logistik (BELog). European Loc Pool (ELP) provided the Eurodual 159 245, ensuring availability from January 17, 2025, to March 9, 2025.

The replacement locomotive has been integrated into RCG operations, allowing continued transportation of heating oil and other petroleum products for the Allgäu region under the TransFLEX service of Rail Cargo Group.

Both Eurodual locomotives are currently active, including in operations linked to PRÄG Group’s tank facility in Kempten. These measures illustrate how operational challenges can be addressed through exemplary cooperation and fleet flexibility within the railway sector.
