The company has expanded its fleet with new locomotives to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions. The addition of Siemens Vectron locomotive leased from ELL and older Class 240 electric locomotive leased from ZOS Zvolen aims to improve reliability and environmental performance. In 2023, PSP Cargo Group added five new locomotives to its fleet, bringing the total to 18, now it has reached number 20.
Over the past year since the company started operating in Hungary, PSP Cargo Group has transported more than 320,000 tonnes of freight with 235 trains. This includes 180,000 tonnes of stone transported regularly between Bishopric Bihor and Püspökladány since June 2023, with an additional 22,000 tonnes moved since April 2024. Overall, the company moved 3.6 million net tonnes in 2023.
The company, formerly known as MMV and part of the PETROLSPED Group mainly transports cross-border traffic through crossings such as Curtici/Kürtős, Episcopia Bihorului/Biharkeresztes, and Valea lui Mihai/Nyírabrány.
