The project, completed in just two weeks, involved a specially configured train comprising 23 platforms.

Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways, UZ) has successfully dispatched its inaugural "Rolling Highway" train, carrying a fleet of trucks into Poland. 13 trucks with semi-trailers were loaded onto 23 platforms and performed the cross-border journey.

The "Rolling Highway" operates along a strategic route, starting from Sknyliv in Ukraine and ending at Slawkow in Poland. A critical aspect of this service is the streamlined customs and border clearance process, which is handled at the Izov – Hrubieszow railway border crossing. However, Ukrainian Railways acknowledges some ongoing formal challenges in expediting the crossing at the Polish border. Unlike the RoLa service known from Switzerland and Austria, where passenger wagons are added for truck drivers, UZ offers the transfer of truck drivers from loading to unloading points by bus transportation.

To arrange for truck transportation via this trailer train from Ukraine, clients are advised to contact the "Lisky" Transport Service Center, a branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia". For services in the reverse direction, inquiries should be directed to Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland.
