Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027, with the fastening systems to be manufactured at Vossloh’s plant in Kunshan.
The orders cover the 269-kilometre Jinan–Zaozhuang line and the approximately 109-kilometre Qingdao–Zhucheng line. Both routes are being designed for trains operating at speeds of up to 350 km/h.
The Jinan–Zaozhuang route will connect the Shandong provincial capital with economic centres in the south of the province and serve locations including Qufu, the birthplace of Confucius.
The Qingdao–Zhucheng line will connect the port city of Qingdao with industrial centres towards Jinan and tourism destinations in southern Shandong.
Vossloh will supply its System 300 fastening technology, which is designed for high-speed lines using concrete slab track.
“High-speed lines place the highest demands on the quality and safety of all components,” said Oliver Schuster, CEO of Vossloh AG.
Vossloh Fastening Systems China was established in Kunshan in 2006, with production beginning the following year. The facility has since supplied fastening systems for the Chinese railway market.
