Frédéric Van Heems is the new CEO of Keolis Group

Keolis Group’s Supervisory Board has appointed Frédéric Van Heems as Chairman of the Executive Board, effective 16 March 2026.

Van Heems succeeds Christelle Villadary, who has served as interim Chairwoman of the Executive Board since 22 October 2025. The Supervisory Board thanked Villadary and the Executive Committee for ensuring continuity during the transition period.

Van Heems joins Keolis from Veolia, where he served as President and CEO of Veolia North America from 2021 to 2025 and was a member of the group’s Executive Committee. Prior to that, he held senior roles within Veolia Water France and its Italian subsidiary Siram.

Earlier in his career, Van Heems held executive positions at Alstom Power Automation & Controls, Cegelec Group and Areva, where he led the uranium enrichment programme and the nuclear measurement business unit. He also served as President and CEO of Canberra in New York and held management roles within Hachette Distribution Services and NMPP.

Keolis operates public transport networks under contract with transport authorities in multiple countries, covering rail, metro, tram, bus and shared mobility services.
