HSL Belgium wins Antwerp port shunting contract in Marshalldok Zone 6A

The Belgian operator will manage manoeuvring operations within the port area.

HSL Belgium, a subsidiary of TX Logistik, has secured a contract to operate railway shunting services in the Port of Antwerp, covering first- and last-mile activities in Zone 6A (Marshalldok).

The scope includes local shunting between Antwerp North and Antwerp Petrol. Operations are being carried out using hybrid traction, with a first DE18 hybrid locomotive—named The Lion—already in service on the corridor.

The award adds to TX Logistik’s existing activities in Belgium. The group is already involved in operations at the Antwerp Mainhub terminal and has launched new commercial freight services linking Belgium and Italy.

HSL Belgium is controlled by TX Logistik, which belongs to Italian FS Logistix and operates freight services and terminal-related rail activities in Belgium, including port and industrial sidings.
