RAILPOOL is expanding its service portfolio for cross-border passenger transport, aiming to provide rolling stock that supports international rail connections in Europe.

RAILPOOL is enhancing its leasing offer for international passenger operations as demand grows for interoperable rolling stock on Europe’s cross-border routes. The company plans to supply passenger coaches and locomotives more strategically to support operators expanding their international services.

"We are seeing a growing demand for flexible, interoperable and readily available solutions to expand European rail transport efficiently and sustainably," said Torsten Lehnert, CEO of RAILPOOL.

A key solution is the Siemens Vectron locomotive paired with Siemens Vectouro passenger coaches, already approved in multiple European countries including Germany, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia, Denmark and Poland. This enables cross-border use without lengthy approval procedures or technical retrofits.

With ETCS capability, speeds of up to 230 km/h and various configuration options, RAILPOOL aims to offer operators a flexible concept that can quickly increase capacity and support passenger comfort on international corridors. The fleet currently comprises around 600 locomotives and 148 passenger vehicles across 19 European countries.
