Considine is currently the Chief Executive of The Shannon Airport Group, where she has worked for over three decades. She has held a range of senior roles including Airport Director, Chief Financial Officer, Deputy CEO, and was appointed CEO in 2019.
Her professional background is rooted in aviation and corporate governance, with qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, the Chartered Institute of Transport in Ireland, and leadership programmes at Cranfield School of Management and INSEAD. She also sits on several boards, including IBEC and Limerick Chamber of Commerce, and is a Trustee of Mary Immaculate College.
At Iarnród Éireann, Considine will lead a workforce of around 5,300 employees. The company is currently progressing a €8 billion nationwide investment programme, with the aim of nearly doubling passenger volumes by 2030. In addition, the company continues to advance port development projects, including plans for an Offshore Renewable Hub at Rosslare Europort, for which it acts as Port Authority.
Jim Meade, who has been with Iarnród Éireann for more than 40 years and served as CEO since 2018, will step down later this year.
