By providing pre-configured trains and additional services such as maintenance, this new offer provides an economical alternative for expanding fleets quickly and flexibly. It also allows customers to test innovative and sustainable rail technologies. The new subsidiary will initially offer this rental model in Germany and plans to expand it across Europe in the medium term.

Smart Train Lease aims to make the rental process comparable to that of a car rental. The entire train, including maintenance, is leased as a complete package.
