This recognition comes from the European Railway Industry Association (UNIFE) following an evaluation process that included compliance certification with the IRIS Certification® standard, overseen by Bureau Veritas Certification.
The Gold Quality Performance Level represents the highest standard of quality management under the IRIS Certification®, designed to ensure safety and quality within the rail supply chain. The certification process assesses adherence to requirements regarding production quality, evaluates business processes, and considers client satisfaction metrics.
Newag’s accomplishment marks it as the only rolling stock manufacturing company globally to have attained the Gold Quality Performance Level three times. The IRIS certification is held by around 80 entities in Poland, yet Newag remains unique in achieving and maintaining the gold standard across multiple years within the rail manufacturing sector.
