CARGOUNIT, leading locomotives leasing company in Central and Eastern Europe, fully executes the option from a framework agreement with Siemens Mobility and orders 9 more Vectron MS locomotives.

On the first day of the transport & logistics fair 2023 in Munich, CARGOUNIT and Siemens Mobility confirmed that the leasing company would fully exploit the framework agreement for 30 multisystem Vectron locomotives announced at the TRAKO fair in Gdansk in 2021. At first, ten locomotives were in a fixed order, but more kept coming. “I am pleasantly surprised by the speed of managing the full exploitation of this agreement,” said Łukasz Boroń , the CEO of CARGOUNIT.

On the occasion of the last fixed order from the framework agreement, a letter of intent for further cooperation was signed between representatives of both companies. "Today, we see the potential to lease much more multi-system locomotives in the Central and Eastern European markets. We highly appreciate the professionalism and quality of cooperation with our partners from Siemens Mobility in the head office and Poland and Romania," says Łukasz Boroń.

With 36 Vectron locomotives, CARGOUNIT is Poland's most significant customer of this locomotive type. In addition to them, it has also ordered six Smartron locomotives for the Romanian market.
