Transitio has awarded Stadler Service Sweden a contract for the heavy maintenance of 60 Dosto double-deck EMUs.
The work will be carried out at Stadler’s facility in Tillberga, near Västerås, beginning in autumn 2026. All units are scheduled to undergo maintenance by the end of 2029.
According to Transitio, the decision to outsource these procedures was aimed at easing the load on daily maintenance providers. The TUF and TUK processes involve complex disassembly and lifting operations, requiring workshop capacity and technical resources beyond standard maintenance sites.
