CAF signs maintenance contract for 27 CPTM EMUs in São Paulo

This agreement follows the termination of a previous maintenance contract for 80 trains of the 7000 series.

CAF has signed a maintenance agreement with CPTM (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos) covering 27 electric multiple units in São Paulo. The deal includes 19 trains from the 7000 series and 8 from the 7500 series, delivered by CAF between 2009 and 2011. In total, the contract covers 216 vehicles.

The contract has a duration of 30 months and is valued at BRL 151.48 million, equivalent to approximately EUR 26.7 million. Maintenance activities will be carried out at CPTM’s Engenheiro São Paulo I and Roosevelt depots.
