Pomeranian Region Will Get Four Dual-Mode Units from Newag

On April 25, 2023, the Pomeranian Voivodeship announced the tender results for the supply of four dual-mode (electric-diesel multiple units) that will transport passengers in Pomerania. The vehicles will be manufactured by Newag SA, with the first trains scheduled to appear on tracks in the middle of next year.

RIA's new paper highlights the benefits of rail electrification

The UK's rail industry is calling on the Government to accelerate the pace of rail electrification to meet its target of removing all diesel-only trains from the network by 2040 and achieving a net-zero railway by 2050.
